Right now, most dictionaries are proprietary. Why not do a collaborative one by people on the internet? It could be machine-readable XML... We could farm it out.. If 10,000 people each defined one word, assigned to them by a server... It would take no time at all to compile a collossal open dictionary! We could use the words from the unix dictionary file..
Maybe we could hook up with distributed.net and put together an opensource dictionary.
